Design by Eva Langhans
Simply take off and look at the world from above - escape the everyday and adopt a new perspective.
As the distance to the ground increases, boundaries merge and similarities and differences become more apparent.
Designer Eva Langhans is particularly fond of the flowing formal language of human agriculture from a bird's eye view and is the inspiration behind her amorphous SHAPES floorwear® design. The sister model SHAPES in a box is an extension of this design with an angular frame.
A single line that, starting in the centre, develops into an organic form. The twisting braid of robust polypropylene, which constantly hugs itself anew, is not only visually reminiscent of rice terraces or hillside vineyards, it is also just as weather-resistant and can withstand both rain and sunshine.
The rectangular design tames the dynamism of this floorwear® just enough to allow it to be placed under the dining table without losing its unique structure.
