The new season means changes to both the weather and our living requirements. Whether inside or outside the house, cool stone floors can be a summer saviour. Tiled floors in the bathroom and the kitchen are certainly practical too, but they aren’t particularly pleasant in the autumn.
Having cold feet quickly leaves us shivering and feeling uncomfortable. Bare floors don’t exactly invite us to stay in a room for very long. If you like to spend plenty of time cooking in the kitchen, or want to enjoy some me-time in the bathroom or sauna, it’s easy to make these spaces more homely. This is especially true for the autumn.

Not only do the rugs enhance sophisticated living spaces functionally, they also do good for the environment. Both models are made from recycled PET – the sort that is created by melting plastic bottles, for example. This innovative yarn is both resistant and water-repellent, making it ideal for home textiles often found in damp rooms or, indeed, outside.

The inspiration behind NEW WAVE was water in all its fascinating wave forms. The beautiful interference pattern created by a single raindrop hitting the water’s surface has been artistically and unmistakably captured by our designer, Katharina Tannous. Both handcrafted pieces are available in 12 standard colours to suit any space, from muted December sky to colourful tree top.
